5 mintues Journal cards

Hello Friends,

Today I am here continuing my self challenge to play with Stuffs I already own! If you have been following my blog you will see that I began with '52 Weeks, 52 Crafts'a challenge I set out for myself .

Three months ago when we moved to UK I got to carry very few stuffs from India from my crafting stock and always felt I did not own enough to create what I wanted so I challenged myself to put to use all the stuffs I was carrying :)

In last 90 day I discovered I either own much more than I need or I do very little :)

Card 1

Today I am sharing creations using Journal cards from Kaisercraft  as the focal point and the sentiment stamps from Technique Tuesday  .

I have always used these sentiments and journal cards in my scrapbooks but today wanted to give them a new perspective so made cards out of them !

To complete this card I have used rose embellishment and bakers twine for a Bow along with ephemera .

Card 2

For this card I have used  Journal cards from Kaisercraft as background added the fish tail hand cut tag from a sticker baking
I have used a die cut tag on which I have used a sentiment to finish the card I have added pearls here !

Card 3

This card is put together purely for the love of colours and matching ephemera

Yes its lot easier to mix and match them and create with them !
You can call these quick make or 5min cards that save you at the last moment for the special occasions .

These cards surely show how much I love stickers , Journal cards and all pretty stuffs and how much I have been hoarding all the itty bitty stuffs along with scraps and papers :)
Since I love them I shall be making sure Im gonna make more out of them wish me luck !!

Mixed media Tags

Hello Friends,
I just love making my own embellishments , especially those for the detailed scrapbooks.

It`s becoming an obsession to identify reusable stuff and I keep pushing my creativity out of my comfort zone.

Here I have used scraps of paper on the sticker backing and stained it with Gesso splatters and completed the tag with flowers and sentiments !

I have created this Mixed media tag created using sticker backing , layered with chipboard and flower embellishments and paint for all the above tags !

Shimmer Crush creations

Hello Friends ,

Glitter is in!!
If you love to give a shimmery finish to your projects, Home decor items, craft projects, clothing, candle holders, lamps, coasters, there’s nothing you can’t use a bit of glitter in.
Make those sparkly projects shine out of ordinary with these brilliant shades of Shimmer Crush. These grainy glitter elements can be applied with appropriate glues to various surfaces.

Here are my 3 Simple and Quick cards, I made using Shimmer Crush.

Card 1

I have used the tacky glue on the butterfly chipboard embellishments and let them dry with the Shimmer Crush  grainy glitter

For the card I have used 5x7 card stock as base
For second layer of card , I have used a white card stock 6x4 " along with the embossing folder run it  through the dream cut to give an awesome  flowering impressions on it
Further added a Birthday wishes sentiment cut out from the Birthday wishes pattern paper
Finally added the chipboard Shimmer crush butterfly card .

Card 2

This again is a 2 layered card
Here I have used Shimmer Crush  grainy glitter on chipboard flower elements

The card base is 5x7
I have added layer 2 with a embossed beige coloured cardstock
Further added the chipboard elements with  flower Shimmer Crush  grainy glitter  and leaves without to give it a contrast .

Card 3

Birthday cards are incomplete without glitters what say ?
here you can see Shimmer Crush  grainy glitter and their texture can be seen and felt

Here I have used tacky tapes to hold the glitter and created them in a manner of birthday candle and added the sentiment to go with it !
